wii tennis and so many lol’s

The first time I met Dan his hockey team had just won provincial championships and there was a big party to celebrate. At one point Dan started dancing and the entire party dropped everything to come watch. It was hilarious! I won’t be able to put the dance moves into words here, but if you’ve seen them you know. From day one he was making me laugh! I’ve been lucky enough to see those dance moves again over the last 17 years. And I pray there is footage out there so that Winn can still experience the customary tradition of a teenaged girl being embarrassed by her Dad’s dancing. Dan was the funniest person I know, and my stories will not do him justice. Times that stand out in my mind that show his commitment to making people laugh was when we played a tournament of Nintendo Wii Tennis and Dan won because no one could play while they were killing themselves laughing as Dan made the classic 'professional tennis player grunt/moan' with every swing he made. Or the Halloween when he was dressed up as an Emo and refused to break character; sombrely answering questions and standing alone in the kitchen hunched over looking at the knives. His quick wit was incredible and I don’t know if anyone will make me laugh as much in my lifetime as he did in his too few years here with us. Raising my kids to be like the type of person Dan was will not be easy without him here, but man I’m sure going to try.
